June 15-16, 2020
Join us for 2 days of exploring student agency in action, innovative examples of students leading their learning facilitated by mentors and educators.
Some topics: Project-Based Learning, Problem-based Learning, Design Thinking, and Human Centered Design
3 types of sessions:
Spotlight--15-30 min poster type sessions--Chat about the topic
Showcase--30-45 min sessions illustrating examples of student agency--Telling the story!
Workshop--45-60 min sessions with information and facilitated work time--more traditional workshop sessions
Design Thinking Immersion
June 15-18, 2020
Teams of teachers and students will be immersed in a shortened Moonshot Laboratory experience through a scaffolded approach to designing, developing, and building Moonshot solutions to local and global challenges. Students and teachers will learn to be problem solvers, inquirers, entrepreneurs and Moonshot thinkers.
This opportunity is best for educators who want to experience Design Thinking with students while developing creative solutions to real-world problems culminating in public, student-powered pitchfest. No prior Design Thinking experience necessary. All are welcome.
Attendees should plan to bring 2 students along to the experience (students attend free!)

Join us for a three-day Design Thinking Workshop run by expert facilitators with the K12 Lab Network of Stanford’s d.school in conjunction with White Bear Lake Area Schools in White Bear Lake, Minnesota.
This opportunity is best for educators who want to know more about Design Thinking, and want to dive deep into the process and leave with actionable materials and ideas.
