Serving the students, families and community members through oversight of the district's schools and programs, working in partnership with area organizations and the municipalities making up White Bear Lake Area Schools.

Roles & Responsibilities

Dr. Kazmierczak currently serves as the Superintendent of Schools for White Bear Lake Area Schools ISD624. He is responsible for the overall operation of the nine elementary school programs, two middle schools, a two-campus high school, an area learning center, a transition center for students with special needs aged 18-21, an early childhood program and a senior center.

The superintendent oversees the day-to-day activities of the district's nearly 9,000 students and more than 1,000 employees while managing a budget of more than $100 million. Dr. K is also responsible for working closely with the ten different municipalities within the geographical boundary of District 624.

District initiatives that have been developed under Dr. K's leadership include district and school-level strategic planning, a facilities planning process, district-wide additions and renovation construction projects, changed attendance boundaries, and programmatic changes have been made throughout the district.

Along with the district’s leadership team, Dr. K led informational campaigns that resulted in community support for a local operating levy renewal in 2017, a $326 million bond referendum in 2019 and a capital projects levy renewal in 2022.

He was named the 2021 Minnesota Superintendent of the Year by the Minnesota Association of School Administrators (MASA).

Dr. K is also responsible for making the decision to implement an emergency school closing due to severe weather.
