"Cinderella" receives Spotlight accolades

The high school’s fall musical, “Cinderella,” recently heard word that they received multiple accolades through the Hennepin Arts Spotlight Awards program. As part of that recognition, the cast and members of the crew and pit orchestra will have the opportunity to perform on the State Theatre stage in June.

The award of "Outstanding" was given in the following categories: Achievement in Musical Theatre, Overall Technical Production, Overall Performance, Ensemble Performance, Ensemble Dance Performance, Ensemble Vocal Performance, Student Orchestra and Run Crew. Individual students received numerous outstanding and honorable mention honors. See the complete listing of awards here.

This year’s musical was attended by 4000 students, staff, family and community members over the course of its performances. This is the highest attendance we’ve ever had for a fall musical, and it was made possible by the new 845-seat Performing Arts Center addition at the high school. The community’s support of the 2019 bond referendum continues to benefit our students in countless ways.
