Edupoint Educational Systems has rolled out an updated ParentVUE (New) and StudentVUE (New) app. This new version features a cleaner, tile-based interface, a streamlined login, and better navigation for tracking assignments and grades.

The older "Classic" ParentVUE and StudentVUE applications are being retired.

Lindsey Samec has been hired to serve as Principal on Special Assignment, a role on the district-wide Teaching and Learning team that will become open in July when Cynthia Mueller leaves White Bear to become Director of Teaching and Learning with Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose Schools.

White Bear Lake Area High School Language Arts teacher Dr. Katelin Held was named White Bear Lake Area Educators' 2026 Teacher of the Year at an April 28 celebration and recognition ceremony.

For the second consecutive year, Mariner Middle School has been named a Gold Star Winner – the highest distinction – in the Star of Innovation Awards presented by the Minnesota Association of Secondary School Principals (MASSP). The award honors schools across Minnesota for developing and supporting exemplary, innovative educational programs.

Six students from Mariner Middle School qualified for the National History Day competition taking place June 13-19 at the University of Maryland. 

White Bear Lake Area High School’s Joe Held was named Capitol Division High School Assistant Principal of the Year, and Mariner Middle School’s Christina Pierre was named Capitol Division Middle School Principal of the Year by the Minnesota Association of Secondary School Principals.

During the Minnesota State High School League Section 4AA Speech tournament on March 26, two WBLAHS students advanced to the State competition. Aryanna Charles was the Section Champion in Original Oratory and Valina Gatzke placed second in Discussion.
