The White Bear Lake Area School District is pleased to announce that Tim Wald has been chosen to serve as the new Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations, a position that will be vacated when current Assistant Superintendent Dr. Wayne Kazmericzak steps into the role of Superintendent on July 1, 2017.
Wald has served as principal at White Bear Lake Area High School - South Campus since 2005. Prior to that time, Mr. Wald was associate principal at White Bear Lake Area High School - North Campus. Before coming to the White Bear Lake Area School District in 1999, he served in leadership and teaching roles at the middle school and elementary levels.
He has worked with White Bear Lake Area High School staff members to implement career pathways and other new programs, led scheduling transitions and strategic planning initiatives, and worked to review and redesign counseling services. Under his leadership at the high school, increased numbers of students from diverse backgrounds have enrolled in college-credit courses and multiple secondary facilities have been redesigned and enhanced.
"We are excited to have Mr. Wald step into this role," said incoming superintendent Dr. Wayne Kazmierczak. "Tim's knowledge of the district, along with the high level of respect he has earned with the community, make him a terrific fit for the important role the Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations will play in the coming months and years."
Wald will stay at the helm at White Bear Lake Area High School - South Campus through June. The district will soon begin a hiring process for the South Campus principal position.
